SLUH tops DeSmet 13-10 to win 2011 Father Marco Cup

7 MAY 2009 -- CREVE COEUR, Mo. -- Lacrosse players from St. Louis University High School hoist aloft the traveling cup awarded to the winner of the annual Father Marco Cup game, the final game of the season between the two Jesuit rivals. The cup is named for the Rev. Michael Marchlewski, who has served as spiritual advisor to students at both schools. The Rev. Marchlewski spent the first half on the DeSmet sidelines and the second half on the SLUH bench. SLUH topped DeSmet 13-10 in the game, played at DeSmet in Creve Coeur, Mo. Saturday, May 7, 2011.
