LOUIS -- Shallen Ray, an eighth grade student at Most Holy Trinity School, works with volunteers and other students to remove a dilapidated mid-20th century garage from behind a row house near the parish as part of a Saturday program at the St. Louis school Saturday Oct. 30, 2010. Their efforts are part of a project led by Theaster Gates, an artist and urban planner affiliated with Harvard University and the University of Chicago, to renovate the historic row house into a gallery, studio space and a residence for artists working at the school.
