LOUIS -- STL250, a group of civic and political leaders steering the regions celebration of the founding of St. Louis on Feb. 14, 1764, has placed decorated fiberglass cakes are various institutions across the region. The effort is known as the "Cakeway to the West." At Left Bank Books in the Central West End of St. Louis a cake decorated by Peat Wollaeger stands outside the store's main entrance, under the watchful eye of TS Elliot.
