CHARLES, Mo. -- Maddy and Jimmy Sprauls play the roles of Mary and Joseph during the non-denominational “St. Charles Las Posadas” on the streets of historic Main Street in St. Charles, Mo., Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021. The event, held annually on Main Street St. Charles, is an adaptation of the traditional Hispanic portrayal of the journey of Mary and Joseph from Nazareth to Bethlehem as they searched for lodging, safe refuge and a place to await the birth of Jesus.
