29 Feb. 2016 -- ST. LOUIS -- Students from the Upper Elementary 2 class at City Garden Montessori School in St. Louis, including Mina Gilliom,Courtney Ruffin, Hafsa Palada and Atticus Jones, leave campus for their Outdoor Education Monday, Feb. 29, 2016. According to Dr. Nicole Evans, City Garden principal, the class includes students who in a traditional school would be in grades four, five and six. City officials report that success of the school, which serves students in the Shaw, Botanical Heights, Forest Park Southeast, Tiffany and Southwest Garden neighborhoods, has resulted in expanded home renovation and construction in some of the neighborhoods served.
