The fire house, which was recently replaced with a new facility, has become the location of FYI, the Ferguson Youth Initiative, organized in the aftermath of the death of Ferguson teenager Michael Brown, Jr., during a confrontation with former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson Aug. 9, 2014. HOK, a global design, architecture, engineering and planning firm, is offering services to FYI and will be hosting a student-focused design charette for refurbishing the space.
