28 Oct. 2022 - Bethalto, Ill. - Brian Blagoue, of Bethalto, Ill., was carjacked in 2021 while driving for the ride-hailing company Uber in nearby St. Louis. The company declined to share information with St. Louis police about the customer Blagoue was picking up at the time of the attack, according to the police department. Police say that Blagoue’s alleged assailant Torian Wilson killed Lyft driver Elijah Newman while attempting to take his vehicle.
