7 AUG. 2013 -- BALLWIN, Mo. -- Mufti Asif Umar, imam at Daar-ul-Islam mosque in Ballwin, greets other members of the community following prayers that concluded just past midnight Wednesday morning, Aug. 7, 2013 during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. As part of his studies of Islam Umar has memorized the entire Quran, a critical aspect of the practice of reciting the entire book as part of worship during the Ramadan holiday.
