13 SEPT. 2012 -- HAZELWOOD, Mo. -- Dan Bogaski, a civil engineer with Heideman Associates, Inc., examines the power plant of a prototype hybrid electric fleet van built by Emerald Automotive during a barbecue sponsored by Emerald for suppliers, partners and other interested parties in Brookes Park in Hazelwood, Mo. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012. The firm plans to build hybrid electric vehicles for both the domestic and export auto markets in a plant proposed for Hazelwood. The company was purchased in 2014 by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, a Chinese company. Officials said the purchase provides financing for a planned assembly line in Hazelwood.
