APRIL 18, 2012 -- RED BUD, Ill. -- Red Bud, Ill. police officer Chris Hewitt (L) and city employee Pam Poetker look for a place to display the ceremonial check honoring Illinois Lottery winners Merle and Patricia Butler along Bloom Street outside city hall in the village of 3,700 residents in southern Illinois April 18, 2012. The Red Bud residents were announced during a press conference at city hall as winners of $218.6 million during the multi-state Mega Millions lottery. It was their share for having one of three winning tickets to the $656 million grand prize for the March 30, 2012 drawing. Other winning tickets were sold in Kansas and Maryland.
