Adam is the first American woman to quality for the Paralympics when earlier this year she was named to the US Team competing in Paris. Morgan, who mentored Adam, was the first woman to make the U.S. national team in 2009, but did not make a Paralympic roster during her international career. Adam, who also graduated from Augusta College in 2013 with a degree in psychology, is an assistant professor of occupational science and occupational therapy at St. Louis University.
