25 Aug. 2023 -- St. Louis -- Apotheosis of St. Louis, honoring St. Louis IX of France, namesake of the city of St. Louis, on a summer afternoon in Forest Park Friday, Aug. 25, 2023. The statue was sculpted by Charles Henry Niehaus and went on public display during the 1904 World’s Fair held in St. Louis. Members of the Secular Franciscan Order USA were in St. Louis for a chapter meeting, ending with a Mass at the Cathedral and visit to the Apotheosis of St. Louis in Forest Park.
