10 JULY 2013 -- BALLWIN, Mo. -- Seven-year-old Farouk Ahmad (right) joins his father Aqeel Ahmad (left) in celebrating Iftar, the ceremonial breaking of the fast observed by Muslims during the month of Ramadan at Daar-ul-Islam mosque in Ballwin Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Ramadan began early July 10, and the Iftar celebrated at sunset that evening was the first of 2013. This was the first time Farouk has observed the fast.
